What is hiring?

Hiring would mean selecting the right candidate
after implementation and followed process by the Human Resource Department of a
company
Hiring is important as it is what determines the
success of the chosen job role and contribution to the company. Many companies
in the present era fail to hire the right candidate or fail to identify
potential or eliminate the most suitable candidate during the process. Few examples
for global companies which tend to hire the most appropriate person are, Google,
HSBC, Apple and the Four Seasons.
To hire the right person for a job role, the
following process is administered.
Plan
According to the above-mentioned
process, first the company will plan on and understand the rise of the vacancy
and identify what kind of job duties, tasks and qualifications are expected
from a potential employee
Talent Search
Next there would be a talent
search with advertised vacancies on preferred platforms, social media,
LinkedIn, News Papers or word of mouth
Short List
Afterwards, applied
candidates would be shortlisted to the most relevant and appropriate
applications will be evaluated and allocated time slots for an interview
Interview
The next crucial step would
be the interview, both the candidate and Human Resource would be involved in
creating a friendly and professional experience as they represent the company
Evaluate & Offer
After the series of
interviews, one or more potential candidates will be decided based on the job
role and offered the final position
Conclusion
The hiring process may seem
simple and complex based on the nature of the company. However, any firm should
keep in mind the Don’ts’s in hiring such as bluffing about the corporate
culture and creating a clash, not to just hire whatever is available, over load
a candidate with stress and confusion during the process and offer
unattainable goals or perks
